nice movie. I wonder why the bad review 🤔🤔

I'm going to save a lot of people time and money by simply saying buy the game. Everything story wise is covered within the game, this movie is a prequel to the game. The story, of what happened before the events of the game, unfolds during the game itself. The story of Dead Space is extremely clever and in-depth, with lots of shocking twists that perfectly suits the game. The story builds the further you go into the game, it's one of the main reasons why the game is so addictive. The movie just sells the story extremely cheaply and in turn spoils the game. Now maybe playing computer games is not in your taste, the story of Dead Space is great however this movie is executed extremely poorly. The explanation of what is going on is poor, it's extremely short at only 1 hour 14 minutes, the animation is dire and to top it all off you have really annoying characters. I can't stress enough that watching this movie will spoil what is a great game. Watching the movie first would spoil the story of the game and ruin some great and shocking game play moments. Buy the game, love it and maybe you'll be interested enough to buy this but don't expect anything special.

"Dead Space", is considered as one of the greatest video game's ever made. It was both scary and fun. Upon it's release, not only a comic-book series was made, but a Direct-To-Video animated prequel was released. The thing's I liked about this movie was the animation was great, I liked how they kept the monster's from the video game in the movie, and I liked the story. The thing's I didn't like about this movie is that the character's were flat and the acting was mediocre. With the exception of Jim Cummings as The Captain and Kevin Michael Richards as Samuel Irons. Overall, "Dead Space: Downfall", is a decent prequel that's still worth watching only if you're a fan of the game. If not, then this film is not for you.

As some reviews pointed out, this is an awkward move that fits nobody. the story are shallow and the dialogs are cheesy, the style is almost a TV cartoon for kids, and then the same time too much blood and gore for kids to watch. The animation itself is not very high quality, especially human figures. the Japanese Mangas sets a high stander for animated films(look at Resident Evil Degeneration), and compare to them, Dead Space is done immaturely, in many aspect including voice acting, character design/development to cameras. the main character is appeal has been constantly switching between hardcore bad ass to helpless lady who constantly freak out by the situation. The story isn't complex at all, you can see most of it coming. in fact it feels like Hollywood style (which is bad in this case).it almost feel like the movie DOOM, almost exactly like it. it also contains A LOT F word and other curse words, which really not necessary and don't fit this animated film. I always believe that the true meaning of animated film is that it can achieve something beyond normal film technique can offer, Dead Space didn't follow it, and if it wasn't animated, it might won't be able to attract any audience.

The current IMDb rating when I am writing this is 6.3 which is think is highly overrated. I am actually watching this movie as I am writing this review. don't know if I will complete the movie. The CGI is not bad and but the characters lack development. There are big loopholes in the plot and many of the actions of the characters are pretty dumb. For example, they don't watch their backs when being attacked, don't close doors when being pursued, leave weapons lying around, just keep staring dumbly when...aaargh I can't go on. I am turning this thing off. I don't mind some poor CGI and lackluster plot but please don't insult the audience.

I found out about this movie after i got the game. A friend dropped by my house with the DVD and he found me playing like a maniac the game. So we watched the movie.My first thought : damn , not the riddick graphic ! But after 5 mins i forgot about that. The plot is simple , humanity has started setting up massive mining operations on other planets . And on one of those mining jobs they found a mysterious artifact which seems to be related to a religious current . Paranoia and violence ravages the mining colonies . All this start right after the artifact was excavated. Find out the rest by watching the movie . And if u're a gore / horror fan, this movie is for you ! i rate this movie way higher ...i gave it a 8.5. The graphics are a bit to "rough" , but it does the trick .
